Jafreen Haque, an expert in Special Needs Children and Women’s Nutrition, works on diet planning and meal preparation for pre- and school aged children in Canada. Her main focus is the nutrition and wellbeing of children and women, specifically women’s reproductive nutrition, fitness, premenopausal and postmenopausal nutrition, child’s neuro developmental disorder, Autism Spectrum disorder and physical disability like cerebral palsy. She has also been involved in two non-profit organizations that work with ethnic women’s health and fitness.
Jafreen's impressive academic journey includes earning her master's degree in nutrition, with specialization on nutrition for special needs children and menopausal nutrition attained through international trainings.
During her practicing years in Bangladesh, she served Comfort Hospital & Diagnostic Centre and worked with Prof. Dr. Kanij Fatema (Pediatric Neurologist), Prof. Dr. Narayan Shah (Head, Dept. of Pediatric Neurology, National Institute of Neurosciences, Dhaka Neurology) and many other gynecologists, and provided dietary guidelines for admitted children with refractory epilepsy. She demonstrated her leading expertise in nutritional management for pregnancy, PCOS, hormonal imbalance & metabolism, and gestational diabetes. Jafreen Haque also worked as an honorary Clinical Nutritionist at BIRDEM Hospital.
